It is well worth checking at the hotels and hostels to see if you can purchase a Bruges card as this provides cheaper access to many of the city’s major attractions and museums. If you fancy something other than historic buildings and museums then why not try a trip around the centre in a horse drawn carriage or take a ride around the canals on one of the many tour boats.
Nobody should visit Belgium without visiting the chocolate shops and buying some of the wonderful chocolate on offer. Eating out is not particularly cheap in Bruges, but there are some wonderful restaurants if you feel like a treat. If you want to try something more quintessentially Belgian then the Grand Café Passage serves beer and traditional Belgian fare at less inflated prices.
